TLC Recipe for Feeding Healthy Kids!

Ingredients:

Trust your Kids

Listen to their cravings and desires!

Consciously Feed them (put love into the food!)

Instructions:

Bring only healthy, non processed food into your home (your responsibility is to provide the food, the child's responsibility is, to eat it!)

Variations to help children stay balanced so that they desire healthy food:

1) Make a power meal to start the day.

2) Eat 3 meals a day at the same time.

3) Provide a raw fruit, veggie and crispy nut/seed tray for snacks inbetween meals (do your best to not offer bread, juice and dairy products as snacks because they will fill your kids up and then they won't eat much at mealtime, thus causing them to ask for more snacks later! It is a viscous cycle, but you can get off!)

Essential Components of a Power Meal:

fat
protein
carb
minerals
vitamins
water

What if you could provide a grounding breakfast or morning snack that met all of your child's nutritional needs?

What would be the benefit?
1) grounding- prevent hyperactivity and increase attention

2) nourishing- a balanced meal at the beginning of the day sets your child up for wanting more balanced food later in the day

A Power Smoothie is a great way for the whole family to start the day or the perfect mid-morning snack!
Kids Power Smoothie Essentials:

Mix and Match for a deliciously balanced breakfast or snack!

Fat: Coconut Oil, Coconut Milk, Udo's Oil, Flax Oil etc.
Protein: Yogurt, Protein Powder, Avocado
Carb and Vitamins: Fruit
Minerals: a leaf or two of green leafy vegetables
Water: pure water, seed or nut milk, coconut water/milk,
herbal infusion

Basic Smoothie:
1 tbsp oil
1 cup or scoop protein
1 cup fruit, plus a frozen banana
2 cups water
1 green leaf or more to taste

Secret Ingredients to ensure that kids will like it!:
1 Tbsp lecithin granules (non-GMO) -will make it have more of a milk shake texture!
stevia (to taste) -will sweeten it without having to add syrup or juice! (stevia is a leaf 200 times sweeter than sugar!)

Optional: Use a Vitamix, makes the smoothest smoothies!
